So, I finally heard from my best friend. She left a message on my machine while I was out. Wish I'd been there. Wished she'd call my cell. At least I know that she is well. I am grateful. 
I have found that there is an advantage to having missed her call, I can listen to her message over and over and hear the joy in her voice as she walks the Camino.
